Pricing Guide
Every commission is totally unique and so prices will vary according to the types of flowers and level of embellishment. Some flowers are more intricate and time consuming to make than others, which will also be reflected in the price. I have provided a pricing guide for cakes that consist of two and three tiers, which are the most frequently requested sizes.
Cakes are either coated with milk or white chocolate ganache and finished with a thin layer of fondant, or they are left semi naked using an application of ganache.
A single tier measures 6” in height. I like to use the more generous, dessert portion size of 1”x2”x6” in my calculations, but dainty finger sizes (1”x1”x6”) will yield many more servings. The venue you have chosen will be able to cut the cake(s) to your preference.
Fondant Covered
2 Tiers (8” + 10” cakes) - serves 62, 1”x2”x6” - Prices start from £550
3 Tiers (6” + 8” + 10” cakes) - serves 74, 1”x2”x6” - Prices start from £650
Semi-Naked Finish
2 Tiers (8” + 10” cakes) - Serves 62, 1”x2”x6” - Prices start from £500
3 Tiers (6” + 8” + 10” cakes) serves 74, 1”x2”x6” - Prices start from £600
Two and three tier combinations with differently sized cakes (to the ones I have listed above) are also available. A single tier can be made in any size up to 10” in diameter, which is the largest tier size that I offer. Please enquire for pricing.

The wedding cake is an integral part of the celebration feast. There is always so much anticipation surrounding what it will look like and how it will taste. Perfecting the details of a wedding cake can therefore be a daunting process. Ever mindful of this, I urge my clients to provide as much information as they can. When it comes to flowers the possibilities are endless and visual references are usually the best way of communicating ideas. However, please note, I have my own distinctive style and I will never try to copy the look of another designer’s creation.
Once I have all the necessary information you will be provided with an approximate quote, in writing. I have a baking day every couple of months and for a fee of £25.00 (inclusive royal mail, signed for 1st class delivery) I can send five sample cakes in a selection of predetermined flavours. If you choose me as your designer, this will be deducted from the overall cost of your cake.
Regrettably, I am unable to proceed with an order without a follow up consultation, either by Zoom, or at my home in central Tunbridge Wells - where we can discuss your ideas over a cup of tea, and you can approve the quality of my workmanship.
If you choose to commission a cake from me, a 20% non refundable deposit is required to secure a booking. This must be made at least six months before the date of the wedding. Please note, I only accept orders from clients who have confirmed their reception venue. The outstanding balance must be paid four weeks before the event. Payments are processed through PayPal.
At the time of booking I will provide you with an order form that reiterates every detail of the cake, along with a copy of the terms and conditions of sale and an invoice for the total cost. If you have not already given this information, I will need to know the colour scheme and flowers that you would like at this stage. A significant delay in receiving this information could impact what can ultimately be achieved. Please read the information relating to the details of your cake carefully before confirming your final agreement by email. If any information is incorrect, please let me know immediately.
If you wish to make minor alterations to the design of the cake, a request must be made in writing as early as possible and no later than one month before the date of the wedding. I begin work on my flowers the moment a booking is made. Any significant changes, such as additional flowers, might not be possible depending on where we are in the six months leading up to the wedding. A request for new flowers will incur a charge if time allows for them to be made.
Delivery & Setting Up
Delivery and setting up at the venue is free within a twenty mile radius of central Tunbridge Wells. Beyond this region, delivery charges will be applied and included in the quote.
I often work directly with the organisers at the venue to coordinate timings and discuss where the cake is going to be displayed. I will need confirmation from you beforehand that a suitable stand will be provided at the venue. On the wedding day, I will give the organiser written instructions explaining the portion size and how to remove the flowers with care.
Wedding cakes do not fare well in wet and/or humid conditions. I ask my clients and the organisers to be aware of this when choosing a position for displaying the cake. Upon delivery, I will ask the organiser to sign a declaration form confirming the safe receipt and condition of the cake. I will not be liable for any breakages to the flowers and damage caused to the cake after it has been safely positioned on the display table and signed for. I will provide the venue with a suitable container in which to store the flowers once they are removed for the cutting of the cake.
Please note, you are more than welcome to make arrangements for the collection of your wedding cake, but I will not be liable for any breakages to the flowers and damage caused to the cake once it has left my premises and is transported by someone else.
Postponement & Cancellation
Should you decide to postpone the wedding and rebook on a different date, you will need to notify me in writing as soon as possible and no less than four weeks before the original booking. Please contact me at enquiries.suzybellcakes@gmail.com. A postponement made after this period may result in a loss of payment for the entire cost of the cake.
A complete cancellation must be made in writing to my email address. If notification is made less than four weeks before the date of the wedding, you could be liable for the entire cost of the cake.
